CSA Veg share: Pay once, Medium size
31 weeks of fresh, local, ecological produce from 31st May to 27th December 2023
Medium size
7 items a week; ideal for two-person households, one-person households who eat lots of veg or families who don't eat lots of veg
Veg bag contents
Each week we decide what’s going in the veg bags, so you get the freshest and most
seasonal local produce possible. We always try to keep the contents varied and interesting, while providing a balance of staples too. You can expect a good mix of roots, leafy crops, fruiting crops and herbs, and occasionally fruit. The produce is almost exclusively from our farm, but we like to support other small producers too so occasionally you'll have produce from other local and organic farms. We can’t offer substitutions ahead of time (unless you’re allergic to something), but we do have a ‘swap box’ where you can swap out items if you’d rather have something else. You can also buy extra items from the swap box if you like.
Delivery or collection
You can choose to collect your veg bag from the farm (on Wednesday afternoons or later from the veg shed at the back of Bowhouse) or choose home delivery within the East Neuk and St Andrews for £2.50 a week. If you choose collection you will receive information on where to find us.
Holidays
Paying once includes a week off for holidays and a small discount for paying up-front which helps the farm in the early spring. If you take any more weeks off for holidays, we ask that you give your veg bag to a friend for that week or donate it to our solidarity scheme which funds the low-income bags.
Weekly newsletters
All CSA members receive an email newsletter on a Tuesday letting them know what's going to be in the veg bags that week, as well as info about what we've been doing on the farm, recipes and any other important info you may need.
Jute bags
Your veg comes in a beautiful jute bag with our logo on, and we budget for two of these per customer so we can swap them round each week. This system relies on CSA members bringing their bag back every week, or putting them out for collection when we deliver your next bag. Please help us to reduce waste by remembering to bring your bag back.
